James started shooting at the age 14 and has been doing it ever since. After returning from Afghanistan James began teaching civilians and became an NRA Certified Instructor in 2014 , USCCA Affiliate Instructor in 2016, and in 2022 earned the prestigious Range Master Instructor Certification. He teaches private classes as well as public classes.
James has been involved in deadly force encounters both while deployed and home state side and has firsthand knowledge of what it takes to determine when to use deadly force or to use less than lethal force to stop a threat.
